What you’ll be doing...

This position is part of the Network Supplier Management team. This candidate will be responsible for managing Verizon's Network Supplier Relationship and the Supplier Strategy Portal. This is a hands-on system design and development role, managingtwo to fivedevelopers located on and off-shore. You will work closely with the Supplier Strategy SMEs to maintain and enhance the features and functions of the Supplier Portal. This role will develop features, resolve issues, and works closely with other development teams within Verizon as well as external teams.

  • Reviewing new feature requests from key stakeholders and designing new features / functions in the Supplier Portal.
  • Coding new features and functions on the FIAT Supplier Portal system using Tableau.
  • Troubleshooting user issues and develop solutions and or new feature requests to resolve those issues.
  • Managing off-shore programming staff in India for new user interface requirements.
  • Modifying Java, Javascript and SQL code to enhance the supplier portal.
  • Creating supplier briefings (PowerPoint) by collecting information from key stakeholders.
  • Researching Network Supplier data for use in the portal or supplier briefings.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering) or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience related to IT system design and documentation.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge with FIAT system
  • Knowledge with Supplier Portal
  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility, complex technical projects.
  • Technical skills in Tableau, Qlik, Java, Web design and development & API management
  • Offshore / Onshore IT development team co-ordination
  • DB management, analytics, data display, agile development and cloud containers
  • Experience working with other Verizon System stakeholders to obtain access via APIs
  • Experience with the Verizon supplier data, knowledge of Verizon Sourcing systems
  • Experience with Firewalls, Load Balancers, DNS & Security Gateways in a Wireless environment.
  • Experience in 5G and its functional components – especially security-related components.
  • Experience with other key Verizon system areas, such as LTE, routing, switching, optical networks, IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, etc.
  • Experience with Orchestration, Systems Integration or Automation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple high-priority projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility, complex technical projects.
  • Extremely strong problem-solving skills along with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Willingness to travel.
