What you’ll be doing...

Migration Leads, when presented with an issue, must be able to overcome without supervision. Must be relentless in exceeding customer expectations while obtaining strategic cost savings. They make decisions that enhance outcomes. Improving scripting and collateral used by contractors to communicate with customers. When all work is complete and fully vetted, approval granted by senior management. Leads are given a desired outcome and then think creativity to implement. For example, when grooming tools are in development and we cannot migrate customers, employees find another way through IN/OUT orders to accomplish cost savings. They give direction to the provisioning and operation teams to ensure all migrations and disconnects get worked to completion. This often involves them working with other groups and joining customer calls to determine the correct course of action. Communication with challenging intelligent customers is paramount and they must have firm understanding of the latest technology and project management skills. The ideal migration manager is 50% sales/service skills (engaging customers to migrate) and 50% project management/telecom.
