What you’ll be doing...

This position will lead and manage construction projects for small cells and macro cell sites across and assigned market area in Utah.

  • Develop and refine scopes of work for cell site construction.
  • Oversee and lead the bidding and awarding of construction and installation work with general contractors for cell site construction projects.
  • Lead the development of construction schedules and oversee construction managers and general contractors to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Interact directly with general contractors on project progression and report status to multiple levels of management personnel.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tracking data is maintained across a large volume of construction projects.
  • Lead and effectively manage projects and contractors regarding work quality, change orders, and delivery schedule.
  • Accurately forecast and manage large volume of capital expenditures associated construction projects.
  • Manage open commitments, forecast capital expenditures, and report financial progress and outlooks to management.
  • Work with RF Design, Real Estate, Construction, Operations and System Performance teams to ensure new builds and cell site modifications/upgrades are coordinated for implementation and activation in compliance with corporate requirements and to meet targeted delivery schedules.
  • Work closely with Equipment and Construction management to support all aspects of build and troubleshooting.
  • Assign roles and responsibilities for project teams. Identify and assemble resources from all disciplines (Real Estate/Site Acquisition, Engineering, RF, Operations, System Performance, and other departments).

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of cell sites, related equipment, site design and construction/implementation process.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Background in designing/managing/working with Wireless Embedded Base network elements, specifically with Ericsson equipment.
  • Highly motivated, organized, self-starter and team player with ability to work in a fast paced & productive environment.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to manage project implementation schedule in a volume/matrix environment.
  • Capable of project managing high volume of projects vs. individual highly technical single projects.
  • Ability to communicate critical project information/status updates to team members, corporate, regional and local markets.
  • Excellent organizational and planning ability, capable of prioritizing work tasks, project deliverables and any resulting escalations with the appropriate level of attention.
  • Strong project management background and the ability to lead a team in a variety of projects.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Familiar with cell site life cycle and functional groups involved. Demonstrated management, team building and planning skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, work under pressure and demonstrate strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and effective.
