What you’ll be doing...

Your role is to nurture, develop, and grow our greatest asset—our people. Using your human resources expertise and a solid understanding of our business (don’t worry—that will come with time), you’ll help guide your clients through all people-related matters as they navigate challenges and embrace opportunities. You’ll also help your clients be better leaders by supporting them in coaching, providing feedback, and managing performance. You will play a key role in creating a work environment where everyone can thrive. This role will be a combination of a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), project management and partnering with the business in strategy enablement for the business: diagnosing current state, stakeholder alignment, future state design and development, transformation planning and change management/execution activities across Verizon’s diverse businesses. This role will serve as the key point of contact for organization effectiveness work across the business/function.

  • Partnering with clients and business transformation to identify opportunities for sustainable process improvements.
  • Supporting clients by providing tools and expertise in areas such as change management, organization design, team development, and cultural change.
  • Diagnosing and assessing organizational gaps to determine appropriate interventions which could include stakeholder alignment, organizational structure changes, roles and responsibilities clarity, strategy and goal deployment, intergroup and team interventions, transformation plan creation, and change execution.
  • Supporting business leaders to coach, give feedback, and manage performance effectively.
  • Offering expert advice on ethics, compliance, and employee relations issues.
  • Providing guidance on human resources policies and procedures.
  • Designing and implementing operating models that align organizations with strategic objectives
  • Utilizing models, tools and processes to improve the effectiveness – including organization structure, roles and responsibilities, job redesign, and skills assessments.
  • Proposing new and alternate organization structures which align with the organization’s strategic goals and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Designing culture change plans and developing change activities to meet culture alignment objectives.
  • Collaborating with and coaching business leaders to effectively lead and support change efforts.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Human Resources.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Oraganizatinoal Pyschology, or related field.
  • Experience as a HR Business Partner in leading change and organizational effectiveness initiatives
  • Strong consulting skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated influence skills with key stakeholders through relationships, expertise and data.
  • The ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with people of diverse backgrounds and professional levels.
