What you’ll be doing...

As the Director of Business Device Promotions and Trade-in, you will be responsible for planning and executing device promotions for small and medium-sized business (SMB), large enterprise, and public sector customers. In addition, you will be responsible for device-related transformation initiatives, including reengineering the device trade-in program for the Verizon Business Group (VBG).

Responsibilities

Device Promotions:

  • Plan and execute device promotions for all business units within VBG

  • Responsible for meeting subsidy/promotion financial targets

  • Partner with VBG finance teams for setting subsidy targets for all business units within VBG

  • Interlock with the Consumer Devices team to care for commercial offers and promotions

  • Coordinate with the Consumer Devices team to negotiate offers and promotions with key original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners

  • Forecast and measure promotion performance

  • Collaborate with the Business Service Pricing team to develop a sustainable device payment/subsidy strategy

Device Trade-in:

  • Reengineer the device trade-in program for VBG
  • Drive device promotions that increase trade-in volumes
  • Coordinate with the Consumer Devices team for best in class practices on device trade-in programs

Transformation Initiatives:

  • Ideate and execute on device-based transformation initiatives
  • Deliver on current device based transformation initiatives
  • Develop a portfolio of zero-based budgeting (ZBB) concepts, which can be executed in order to lead to breakthrough cost management for devices
  • Collaborate with the Business Service Pricing team to develop a sustainable device payment/subsidy strategy

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in product/device development and device/network technologies
  • 5+ years of mobile/telecom industry experience
  • 5+ years of successful, progressively responsible business development experience, including:
    • Financial analysis/business case development
    • Contract development and negotiation
    • Qualifying opportunities
    • Competitive analysis
    • E-business strategies and models
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership and people management roles

Critical skills:

  • Working knowledge and experience in building new business models and in structuring, negotiating, and closing partnership agreement
  • Strong track record of collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Superior leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and team building skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other standard office computer applications
