What you’ll be doing...

As a Deal Strategist, you’ll work as an individual contributor and will own multiple programs throughout the presales process, called Deal Readiness, up and until customer contract signature. You will lead discussions around current platform on-boarding efficiencies, renewal strategies, and quoting abilities. You’ll create, document, and communicate new or established processes or strategies. To be successful in this role, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of the presales flow and associated processes required to drive a customer solution to operational readiness upon contract signature. You will assess the operational supportability of a deal within our systems and identify areas of risk to be evaluated. You’ll be critical to the success of establishing a clean ordering process flow to be passed to the ordering team by leveraging your leadership skills, cross-functional collaboration ability, and project and process management skills. You’ll own and advise account teams of the Current Platform and legacy product requirements to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable program providing real business value.

Other responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Providing Tier 2 support.
  • Aligning key stakeholders for issue resolution.
  • Managing and reporting on program progress.
  • Implementing the overall deal strategy to ensure all requirements are met until completion.
  • Hosting and leading strategy calls inclusive of all relevant teams required to finalize a solution
  • Supporting new contracts, renewal, and amendment requests ensuring timely completion.
  • Leading escalations amongst various departments (e.g., PCM, GL, Credit, IT).
  • Driving report metrics designed to monitor progress for project scope.
  • Directing quoting centers upon defined solution and driving accurate quoting requirements implemented into relevant quoting tools and driving final pricing and contracting outcomes.
  • Leading strategy calls/sessions regarding project timelines and scope raising any concerns to be addressed.
  • Establishing repeatable solutions and/or processes used to complete a project.
  • Driving IT on system enhancements required to streamline quoting processes inclusive of new development and/or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) opportunities.
  • Owning and troubleshooting any issues arising out of quoting process with appropriate groups.
  • Leading customer calls and/or internal stakeholder calls assuring delivery timelines and expectations are set appropriately.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of project management with review and delivery of complex technology solutions.
  • Experience with products and solutions including but not limited to: Private IP, EVPL, EPL, VPLS, SDWan, VNS, PWG, Wave, Secure Gateway, VoIP solutions, Managed Services, Cloud services, Security.
  • Experience and awareness of telecom market (e.g., Competition, trends).
  • Willingness to travel.

  • A degree.
  • Experience working with Current Platform Renewals, performing scope reviews and participating in contract negotiations, and coordinating field work through successful project completion.
  • Experience with wireless service components and capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge on networking and system implementation rules.
  • Expertise in sales support systems e.g. Salesforce
  • Awareness of industry changes, development, vertical market, trends, and legal requirements dictating solutions.
