What you’ll be doing...

The Area Consumer Inventory team, in collaboration with the teams from other Areas, collectively offers support in troubleshooting techniques and improves processes with the ultimate goal of making the management of assets at Verizon a best practice. You will be responsible for financial oversight of inventory controls in retail locations and this position will address inventory related issues reported by the Retail stores via At Your Service, communicate and take action proactively on various inventory tasks and issues. You will educate Retail Operations and stores on proper processes.

  • Work all inbound submissions from Retail stores in At Your Service (AYS) within the Service Level Agreement timeline.
  • Support Retail Sales channel activity on a daily basis by providing timely problem resolution, explanation of processes, and training/coaching on processes and systems.
  • Act as an intermediary for Area sales channels and HQ Supply Chain issues.
  • Provide Area reporting and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings with various levels of the organization to review operational metrics and areas of opportunity. Present detailed concerns and improvement recommendations, both verbally and in writing, to middle and senior management.
  • Participate in cross function, cross-Area initiatives. Represent the area operational practices and provide input to improvements to inventory controls and business processes.
  • Understand inventory system and operational training needs for the Area and coordinate implementation.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in order to support heavy sales periods (Black Friday weekend, iconic device launches) as well as during natural disasters.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Two or more years of inventory operations, retail store operations, audit related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Suite of Google products.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, project management and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Sound decision making and independent thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • At Your Service experience.
  • Workflow Management experience.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of VZ POS, wSAP, Order Tracker & ITTS.
  • Knowledge of VZW core values.
