What you’ll be doing...

You will be a part of the Mobile Private Networking Reliability Engineering Team and you will be responsible for the engineering work on our national network supporting Enterprise Wholesale and Public Safety Networks. You will be responsible for mobile private networking applications over cloud and NFV based architecture. You will drive the evolution and performance of the applications, with an emphasis on finding and developing better ways to automate recurring work effectively.

  • Working closely with all application owners and vendors to ensure end-to end service performance metrics are achieved.
  • Working on Automation Development and testing using an ad hoc basis or using vendor and home-grown systems (NSO, HP NFVD, itential) using Agile methodologies.
  • Testing solutions in a sandbox, lab, or production environment to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Delivering Software and configuration deployment at scale.
  • Deploying Automation Framework System administration.
  • Providing vendor management and solution providers to support the MPN service as well as the network automation framework.
  • Providing feedback on deliverables and driving dates for service critical features, software and bug fixes.
  • Developing front end automation solutions that support reliable payload generation to orchestrations systems.
  • Initiating and managing projects for network builds, modifying configurations, refining designs, and troubleshooting issues/analyzing problems.
  • Leading FOAs and support HQ proof of concept initiatives including new application turn-ups / instantiations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems Management.
  • Five or more years of Network or Application Engineering experience.
  • Experience on front end web applications, troubleshoot network, servers, or application issues.
  • PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and DB experience (MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and IP routing protocols, familiar with Data Center architecture.
  • Knowledge of interdependent aspects of virtual applications including eNSE, VCP-E, Linux/Unix, application, and software skills (Python, Ansible, RESTful / NETCONF API and automation tools, JSON, XML, YAML).
  • Experience with cloud Technologies such as Open stack, Kubernetes, Containers, etc.
  • Experience in wireless switching environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
