What you’ll be doing...

The Asset Management team is seeking a talented Engineer to support Verizon’s Remote Inventory Audit program. The role will include working across multiple systems and device platforms to perform financial audits against the intelligent network element base within Verizon Central Office locations. This role directly supports Verizon’s Sarbox P-1235 process.

Remote Inventory Auditor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform pre-Audit queries, asset record reviews and cleanup activity within COEP for Verizon Central Offices.
  • Build out intelligent network element inventory for all Verizon Central Offices.
  • Map network element inventory to associated COEP inventory utilizing multiple Verizon systems such as TIRKS, CCP, ICON.
  • Initiate and self-manage Remote Inventory audits from start to completion including notification to the associated Central Office management team.
  • Coordination and prioritization of work with Remote Inventory team to drive successful completion of both the yearly RI Audit schedule and the entire audit cycle.
  • Work with NNI organization to coordinate equipment confirmation reviews on failed audits.
  • Research and investigate opportunities to expand the base of intelligent network elements qualified for RI Audits.
  • Collaborate with IT on the development of unique parsing scripts and system connectivity for newly identified network element platforms and devices.
  • Work with the Central Office Verification team and across other organizations to utilize Remote Inventory’s non-audit functionality in order to locate lost assets within working equipment.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years or relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A Degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of work experience in a technical role that required project management.
  • Experience using Verizon’s COEP system.
  • Experience using Verizon’s equipment monitoring systems such as Access Guard, NMA, Command Factory.
  • Background in Telecommunication Inventory Systems.
  • Experience driving automation initiatives and process improvements.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and self-prioritize workload.
  • Strong project management skills with experience working in a detail oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
