What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Global Presales organization is comprised of specialty focus business development teams, across Professional Services and Advanced Solutions. The Professional Services (PS) sales team is searching for a Senior Manager to lead a team of Business Development Partners. Teams are aligned to a specific vertical, with accountability for reaching respective vertical targets. You will act as a strategic asset to the vertical’s Group Vice President, and co-author the strategic roadmap for high growth with Professional Services. You are responsible for the direction and strategy for his/her team, bringing our expertise in consulting, design, and implementation to Verizon’s Business Group customers. You will also work cohesively with other Senior Managers, to identify areas of market opportunity and ways to scale the Professional Services business.

  • Lead team of Business Development Partners to deliver against aggressive revenue plans.
  • Develop strategic plans with Group Vice Presidents for respective portfolio/vertical.
  • Drive accountability, productivity and behavior through strong performance management.
  • Leverage a variety of reporting dashboards to evaluate and articulate status at all times.
  • Report gaps-to-plan on weekly, monthly & quarterly reviews.
  • Attend C-level customer meetings as BDP team requests elevated assistance.
  • Ensure Business Development Partner teams provides full coverage across accounts and core sales rep portfolios.
  • Drive forecast accountability, with thorough insight and details for at-risk and upside across the team.
  • Consistent presence, speaking and engagement to represent the team, as required, at Executive Briefing Centers, Client Advisory Boards, Operational Reviews, etc.
  • Partner with cross-functional Professional Services teams to increase the metabolic rate of decision making.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Relevant work experience.
  • Experience in leading a team of high-caliber professionals in sales, program management or professional services.
  • Experience providing managed IT and/or Telecom services to enterprise clients (Public or Private) at the CxO level.
  • Experience preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, proactive proposals and solution designs.
  • Proven track record of successful customer engagements. (Examples of solution designs, statements of work and/or technical project plans to be provided.)
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Full Valid Driving Licence.

Even better if you have:

  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent work experience. MS/MBA level education.
  • Five or more years in a customer facing technical consulting role (i.e. Solutions Architect, Portfolio Partner) assessing and advising the clients of their current and future needs.
  • Experience in sales or service of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Knowledge of one or more specific vertical businesses for which the enterprise architecture is being developed - Hospitality, Media, Manufacturing, etc.
  • Knowledge in all of the following with an in-depth knowledge in the development and implementation of at least (2) technologies: Advanced Networking, (5G), Cloud, Security, Mobility, IOT, M2M.
  • Communication skills in verbal and written to deliver customer presentations aimed at aligning technical solutions with business value.
  • Successful project delivery in a Fortune 100 company.
  • Successful delivery with matrix reports in a cross discipline project.
  • Ability to identify problems, analyze them and provide potential solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects across various organizations and global regions.
  • Leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups.
