What you’ll be doing...

The Demand Generation Marketo Manager has end-to-end responsibility for campaign strategy planning, execution, and management, as well as lead nurturing tactics and campaign metrics. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of automated marketing campaigns to help accelerate Verizon Business Group growth in the network, communications, security, and mobility markets.

You must be a strategic thinker, modern marketer: data-driven, inquisitive, and experienced at using multichannel marketing to drive customer demand programs. You must have solid experience creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns using tactics that include email, direct mail, live events, webinars, and digital advertising. In addition, you should be familiar with channels marketing testing techniques and retargeting to provide ROI improvement recommendation. In this role, you will work closely with Product Marketing, Field Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, and Sales management, as well as outside agencies and vendors.

  • Marketo certification.
  • Experience with marketing automation systems (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Developing and implementing programmatic campaigns aligned to sales strategies across the buyer journey.
  • Owning the creation of annual and quarterly marketing plans that drive revenue via strategic new logo acquisition, acceleration of deal close for existing opportunities and higher retention of key customer accounts.
  • Documenting campaign strategy briefs, content requirements, lead nurturing plan, marketing tactics needed to build campaign funnel, and reporting templates Initiating, managing, and nurturing direct and indirect marketing programs to accelerate prospect movement through the demand generation funnel.
  • Engaging with the different marketing organizations to coordinate, communicate, and optimize the impact of marketing activities.
  • Providing recommendations to improve ROI of demand generation tactics, recommending new tools and ABM technology partner; optimizing program performance.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) per program, through analyzing and interpreting key metrics/reports, recommending corrective action and ensuring continuous improvement and effectiveness.
  • Partnering with operations to report on the lead to opportunity conversion and key metrics and quickly adjusting course as needed.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketo certification.
  • Experience with marketing automation systems (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Two or more years of experience in B2B demand generation strategy in a campaign role, use of marketing automation and ABM digital tools, and online marketing.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or MBA in business or marketing.
  • Six or more years of experience in online marketing or campaign management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the buyer’s journey, nurture tactics, personas and lead scoring.
  • Ability to balance strategy and campaign execution. Communication skills to successfully navigate, influence, manage and lead cross-functional teams without direct line supervision.
  • Technology or telecom experience.
  • Experience across all marketing disciplines with thorough understanding of core principals and strategies.
  • Experience analyzing campaign results and measured performance against KPIs.
