What you’ll be doing...

You’ll join the team responsible for supporting Data Center and Office network for a global financial customer. As a Customer Lead Engineer you’ll be representing our NOC focused on the team responsibilities to respond to customer troubles, ensuring that they are resolved quickly and efficiently. You’ll also undertake proactive steps to improve our processes, coach team members, and help our customers understand the benefits of our many automation tools. Your role will be critical to ensuring we keep improving every day in order to exceed customer expectations.

  • Build and maintain a key trusted business partnership with your assigned customer and the project team.

  • Become the in-depth technical expert for this customer, their managed network solution and relevant processes.

  • Support our first level teams by troubleshooting and resolving incidents.

  • Support our availability targets through effective problem management and diligent quality checks.

  • Build and maintain customer specific documentation required within operations and provide internal trainings.

  • Identify service improvement opportunities and drive those forward with the relevant stakeholders.

  • Be available to work outside business hours for planned maintenance or on call activations.

  • Join customer and project meetings at Verizon or customer locations.

What we’re looking for...

You'll Need to Have:

  • Excellent Routing and Switching skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex IP networks (incl. WLAN)
  • Proven experience in implementing complex and design impacting changes
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel

Even Better if you have:

  • A Degree
  • Experience supporting Cisco ACI and DNA services and knowledge of Linux and ITIL
  • Mentoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 members and providing them with technical guidance
  • Experience with documenting and writing reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and have worked in a client facing role
  • Industry Certifications -Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification,ITIL or Project Management
