Verizon Business Group (VBG) is looking for an experienced candidate to build, own and manage the strategic plan and competency program for our top partners focused on the Autonomous/Connected Vehicle Segment. The practice leader will own the end to end strategy, overall partner ecosystem development, including go to market plans and leading the Presales & Engineering functions for this segment.

As a senior leader on the Connected Solutions team, you will be responsible to accelerate the adoption of Verizon’s broad set of capabilities and technologies such as 5G, Cellular V2X (C-V2X) & Edge Compute. This role has Global responsibility and will require working closely with product development, marketing, professional services, technology planning and strategy teams.

  • Own the strategic plan and revenue budget for the Connected/Autonomous Vehicles and the Transportation/Distribution segment.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our client stakeholders and generate interest in Verizon’s Portfolio of capabilities in connected vehicles, C-V2X and other emerging technologies.

  • Participate with Automotive Industry Councils and drive thought leadership on key industry trends.

  • Help prioritize Verizon investment in partners who focus on the Connected Vehicle market segment to drive incremental results for both Verizon and selected partners

  • Work collaboratively inside of Verizon and the industry ecosystem to drive new & cutting-edge solutions to market

  • Bring an entrepreneurial spirit to developing the Connected Transportation and Distribution line of business

  • Prospecting, Selling and Quoting projects by consulting with decision makers and leaders at OEM’s and Tier1 suppliers

What we’re looking for...

You are an experienced strategist and business leader with a proven track record of developing strategy from the ground up along with, exceptional customer/partner relationship management, driving customer technology adoption planning and delivery execution. You will develop recommendations on how to accelerate our automotive strategy, including analysis of build, partner and buy opportunities and other strategic investment proposals that will inspire next-gen innovations.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Business Management or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Six or more years of experience in a combination of strategy, management consulting, technology, sales and marketing roles within the Automotive industry.

  • Experience with the emerging players in autonomous vehicle landscape including autonomy startups focusing on autonomous vehicles, connected vehicles and smart mobility.

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives and strong familiarity with decision making processes with OEMs and enterprise clients.

  • Experience working with partners through account/product/program management and business development engagements.

  • Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel

  • Valid driver’s license

Even better if you have:

  • Experience working with Systems Integrators and Consulting Companies to achieve sales.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects.

  • Track record of exceeding sales revenue in emerging technology or emerging product areas

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

  • Prior direct sales experience in both the wireless and automotive industry.

  • Ability to communicate knowledge and expertise to provide insight and direction to the business.

  • Ability to coach, mentor and train others and have the ability to educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approach.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure cohesive efforts toward a shared goal.

  • Presentation skills for executive level management, public groups, etc.
