What you’ll be doing...

Perform the duties of an Enterprise Financial Data Steward.

  • Develops and maintains processes and standards of assigned data elements. Will be responsible for monitoring the adherence to standard processes.
  • Maintains data quality leveraging customer feedback, prioritizing and implementing continuous improvements.
  • Defines and optimizes data management approval workflows to reduce risk and increase compliance.
  • Plays a leadership role in enrolling technical team to support the implementation of defined standards and gaining shared ownership from business teams to drive adoption.
  • Leads the monthly and annual evaluation of change requests- aligning Business Data Stewards, Finance Data Governance Office, multiple Business Stakeholder groups, and IT - to ensure standard processes continue to be in compliance with business policies, rules & definitions and to maximize data quality.
  • Identifies, develops and implements business process & system improvement opportunities, as it relates to GPH in collaboration with Corporate, Business Unit and/or FP&A Center of Excellence teams.
  • Develops and validates finalized work plans for the implementation of process and system improvements, gaining alignment from key business stakeholders.
  • Oversees User Acceptance Testing process including development of test plan, cases & scripts, test execution and defect remediation.
  • Leads cross-organizational teams to evaluate, prioritize & implement monthly & annual change requests. This includes facilitating discussions and gaining alignment and support across a diverse group of stakeholders- Business Data Stewards, Finance Data Governance Office, multiple Business Stakeholder groups, and IT - over 100 individual business contacts with competing/conflicting priorities and tight timelines.
  • Leads cross-functional teams in the evaluation of business processes and technology to identify, prioritize and implement process design and/or technological improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • BA/BS degree with concentration in general Accounting, Finance, FP&A, IT, Project Management and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: CPA, Six Sigma, CDMP, and/or PMP.
  • Experience with data management fundamentals (data profiling, improvement, accuracy, completeness, data integrity, data stewardship, and data governance).
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Knowledge in SAP/PeopleSoft ERP and/or the usage of Oracle DRM, Collibra, Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
  • Experience in Finance, General Ledger and/or Financial Reporting.
  • Ability to interface with various/complex stakeholder groups, functions and senior level management across both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work with a limited amount of supervision in a challenging environment.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google Products (e.g. Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides), and Data Management systems.
