This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2020.

The Business Transformation Manager (BTM) will work on a variety of strategic and transformative initiatives for the Verizon Consumer Group. The BTM will work with cross-functional leadership in organizations such as Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and IT to execute, manage, and track initiatives aimed at achieving financial and customer experience objectives that prepare the business for future.

The BTM will get to frame initiatives, their scope, and strategies. In this process, the BTM will interact with senior leaders and will have an integral role in executing recommendations with teams drawn from the Business Transformation group and the business and functional units.

  • Working largely with our Supply Chain team as well as key initiative work that impacts Devices and Equipment Subsidy.
  • Lead concept, define scope, and execute on strategic and operational business transformation initiatives, ranging from corporate and operational strategy to process improvement.
  • Provide proactive and engaged leadership on key initiatives to increase revenue, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and improve customer experience.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology to find root causes, eliminate problems, remove waste/inefficiency, and improve customer experience and value to customers.
  • Be an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques to collaborate and influence.
  • Understand and analyze various drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes to prove or disprove the hypothesis and provide fact-based recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Be a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.
  • Facilitate team meetings and cross-functional workshops.
  • Work with the Director of Business Transformation, and business unit leaders, to provide effective leadership for the initiatives under analysis and execution.
  • Provide updates to senior leadership and functional unit management regarding project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
  • Support others by providing real-time coaching on business transformation and process improvement methodologies and tools.

What we’re looking for...

  • Must be a current participant of Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 3-2020.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and driving transformational organizational and process changes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven track record in developing and delivering executive presentations.
  • Six or more years of professional experience with strong financial acumen, diverse operational experience, and proficiency in financial analysis and business modeling.
  • Business Degree or equivalent experience (Finance, Economics, Accounting, MBA or CPA ).
  • Highly developed data analysis skills, including advanced competency in Excel, Access, Database management, Power Point, and ability to source data directly from VZW's various data warehouses.
  • Proficient in process documentation and project / program management.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Six Sigma training and certifications (Black Belt) or Business Consulting.
