What you’ll be doing...

Reporting to the Marketing Effectiveness and Transformation organization, this role offers the perfect blend of marketing, technology, process improvements and MROI – with a keen focus on transformation. The Manager of Marketing Transformation is responsible for defining how the Verizon strategy to transform marketing through data and technology is realized. The role demands strong collaboration across Business Unit Marketing teams, Chief Data Office, Customer Experience, CMO, and Finance to develop and implement the 3-year strategic roadmap to execute Real Time marketing transformation end-to-end. The Manager will report to Senior Leaders on progress and key areas that might require strategic alignment.

You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and evolve ideas that align with organizational goals and consumers’ needs, as well as manage multiple projects in simultaneous stages of evaluation, engaging and driving cross-functional teams and managing external consultants and contractors. The Candidate will seek for the implementation of projects with the highest ROI by establishing intake, valuation, and performance measurement processes and tools that balance long and short-term value with ease of implementation, urgency, strategy, and capabilities.

  • Coordinate across internal resources and third parties to ensure the flawless execution of projects.

  • Develop and maintain strategic/tactical roadmap, timelines and detailed project plans to monitor and track progress to deliver personalized Real Time Marketing (RTM) experiences.

  • The RTM roadmap addresses capabilities, processes, technology, data infrastructure, operating model, and organization – work across these disciplines to ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Leverage digital marketing transformation best practices in order to transform the communication delivery ecosystem, creative/content personalization, and the design of customer experiences.

  • Partner with technology and data organization to identify how to best leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities to execute RTM.

  • Execute process transformation, measurable improved operational performance and organizational restructuring.

  • Develop business cases to justify the investment and resources needed on support of executing the strategic roadmap.

  • Provide strategic leadership and creative thinking around technology trends and their effectiveness driving organizational change.

  • Understand the needs of non-technical internal partners, devise a strategy and deliver solutions that meet their needs in a cost-effective manner.

  • Effective business communicator who understands how people view and understand content.

What we’re looking for...

You have the ability to develop projects from the conceptual stage as well as driving efforts through the project life-cycle. You work effectively in a matrix organization - be a driver as well as lead through influence.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Five or more years of experience in business strategy.

  • Six or more years of experience on Digital Marketing, CRM, Media, and Customer Data Platforms.

  • Experience leading digital strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business and marketing environment.

  • Experience creating industry benchmarking and trend analysis.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA preferred but not required.

  • Proven ability to manage communications & status reporting across multiple organizational levels including Senior Executives.

  • Able to make trade-offs to deliver effective solutions to business partners in a timely fashion.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Work effectively across organization boundaries.

  • Demonstrated a highly consultative approach with business partners.

  • Understand emerging technology including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications to marketing.

  • Demonstrated success prioritizing and launching technology solutions on-time by partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to balance conversation within groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze critical business requirements, identify deficiencies, potential opportunities and develop innovative solutions for increasing revenue and driving marketing efficiency.

  • Experience working in large, complex cross-functional organizations.

  • Experience with and ability to perform on a team that leverages an agile operating models.
