What you’ll be doing...

As the SEC Reporting Lead, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation of periodic filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), primarily Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K, as well as other ad hoc projects that require externally reported financial information.

  • Preparing periodic filings with the SEC, primarily Forms 10-K and 10-Q, including footnotes and Management’s Discussion and Analysis.
  • Preparing proper XBRL tagging.
  • Working to develop solutions to accounting / disclosure issues and proposing solutions.
  • Researching technical accounting issues and evaluating the disclosure impact related to new events and activities, as well as the impact of new accounting standard updates.
  • Working with corporate accounting and accounting policy teams to understand transactions that the company enters into and the accounting treatment / disclosure in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Collaborating with Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury and the business units to ensure consistent and accurate reporting of results and messaging to external stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with individuals across the business as needed to resolve accounting and reporting issues and open items.
  • Serving as key contact to the external auditors and assisting in fulfilling audit requests.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in public accounting or SEC reporting.
  • Knowledge of US-GAAP and SEC requirements and accounting practices.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, relevant field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or relevant.
  • Four or more years of experience working in public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
  • CPA or in the process of obtaining with parts passed.
  • Knowledge of the complexities of a large global company and ability to operate within a matrix environment.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and project management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in compressed time periods.
