What you’ll be doing...

This internship position – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Global Technology Solutions Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.

As a Wireline Operations Communication Project Management Intern, you may have the opportunity to:

  • Focus on efficiencies and process improvement for permits details within the City of Boston.

  • Give insight into the Boston build from Engineering, Permitting (Public Sector), CXM and I&M perspectives.

  • Assist in weekly VP Staff Team responsibilities, e.g. creating Director staff call presentation content.

  • Gain experience and knowledge of leading an Operations team, governance, logistics, finance etc.

  • Participate in Process Improvement initiatives, learning the basic tenets of Lean Six Sigma and Project Management.

  • Drive performance improvement across the region while leading a project and presenting in a regular cadence to the VP.

  • Partner with the NYM Communications team to produce video messaging, publish documents, and develop/enhance communications platforms including social media after initial exposure to the business operations.

  • Create a video/communication timeline that will be measured on creativity, adherence to schedule and innovative idea implementation success.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and in good academic standing to be considered.

You’ll need to have:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Business, Business Administration, Communications, Data Analytics, Project Management, Liberal Arts, Engineering or related major with an expected completion date between December 2021 and June 2024.

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.

  • Willingness to work in New York, NY.

Even better if you have:

  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, Multi-Tasking, Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills both written and orally.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Experience with statistical analysis, and machine learning.

  • Experience with Agile methodology, Project management , Social Media Platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other related platforms), Video Editing/Production and/or related skills.
