What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Business Market (VBM) Sr. Solutions Architect is a field based technical sales lead directly aligned to a team of three to six direct and indirect sales reps and their commiserate accounts and is compensated upon the same metrics, i.e. 40% new logo bookings, 30% total bookings and 30% revenue. You will focus on the design, proposal, presentation and sale of strategic complex solutions across the VBM product portfolio with a focus on Advanced Network Routing, Unified Communications & Collaboration and Security Services. You will be a subject matter expert with internal and external credentials in Advanced Routing, UCC, and/or Security Services and acts as a consultant. You will drive adoption of emerging services within the customer base to whichyou areassigned, and create and mature executive technical relationships with prospects and customers. You will be responsible for increasing the technical acumen within your team.

  • Understanding customer business challenges, goals, and environment.

  • Designing complex, technical fit for purpose solutions and services to meet the customer’s/prospects business strategies, challenges, and pain points

  • Providing Tier 2 support to Band 7 Solutions Architects on strategic deals.

  • VOIP Design review and approval authority.

  • Working across teams, organizations and third party suppliers to exceed sales targets.

  • Working across various sales channels (Direct/Indirect) simultaneously.

  • Handling multiple major projects simultaneously, providing urgency and priority to all.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with pre sales technical support.

  • Working toward or maintaining an industry accepted certification in Security, UCC, or Advanced Routing technologies.

  • Willingness to travel.

  • Valid driver’s license.

Even better if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.

  • Masters of Science Degree or MBA.

  • Data, Transport, Voice, IP, and Security Services (MPLS, VoIP, VPN, IP, SDWAN, NFV).

  • Relevant technology certifications: Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, Polycom, & Versa.

  • ITIL.

  • CISSP.

  • Managed Security Solutions experience.

  • Interpersonal and client facing presentation skills.

  • Experience supporting Enterprise Direct and Indirect sales teams.
