What you’ll be doing...

Our world-class team is developing exciting new technologies at the forefront of the customer experience and you can be part of it. You’ll be a lead engineer in our Point of Sale (POS) applications team supporting thousands of our salespeople every day. Your role will focus on leading enhancements and redesign, and the introduction of ground-breaking functionality. Developing creative solutions to complex problems to impact the success of our business will ensure that our salespeople continue to have access to state-of-the-art systems. This role is for a LeadJava Microservices developer will be leading programs and enhancements spanning both indirect and retail channels. The candidate will focus on user experience improvements while bringing in innovative technology to enhance our front-line experience through the use of AR/VR technologies, SOI driven insights, and cross-department collaboration improvements .This position requires coordinating with indirect and retail store locations, visiting stores and evaluating proof of concepts that needs to be done by an on-shore resource. Key job duties will include:

  • Performing end-to-end systems analysis and designing POS applications.
  • Analyzing databases, encrypting information and validating the data.
  • Testing processes across applications and evaluating security threats.
  • Assessing solutions that position us ahead of the competition.
  • Developing programs to improve processes.
  • Communicating the business value of technical solutions to stakeholders.

What we’re looking for...

You'll needed to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in programming with Java and J2EE technologies.

Even better if you have:

  • A Masters Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems.
  • Experience in programming with iOS native technologies such as Swift.
  • Experience with Java 8, Java Multithreading Concurrency, reactive, event driven programming, non-blocking I/O programming.
  • Experience with Spring Boot/cloud/Netflix OSS Framework with Java Package.
  • Experience in developing and designing high performance, scalable, cloud native, headless, web applications.
  • Experience with Microservices, Spring4/5, React JS.
  • Experience with source code control systems such as Git and related practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods and Continuous Integration including but not limited to Program and Release Backlog Management (Jira), Defect Tracking (Jira), Collaboration (Confluence, Jive, others) Test Automation (JUnit, NUnit, TestNG), Continuous Integration/Deployment (Jenkins, Hudson), Code Review (Sonar, Findbugs).
  • Experience in cloud computing and cloud hosted applications such as Amazon AWS, EC2 and S3.
  • Experience in clustered cache is a plus such as Redis, Memcache, Coherence.
  • Experience in Endeca/Fusion is a plus or any other search systems is a plus.
  • Experience in No SQL databases is a plus (e.g. Casandra, Mongo).
