What you’ll be doing...

Our customers want fast, reliable and secure video services delivered to their homes and offices. That’s where you come in. You will support our Verizon Ad Insertion Operations team, working with video network and resolve trouble tickets as they come in to get services back up and running quickly. Your role will be pivotal to improve network quality and performance and drive customer satisfaction.

  • Ensuring advertisements play out correctly on Fios.
  • Ensuring advertising content, schedules and verifications are processed when needed.
  • Troubleshooting network, system, timing, reporting, and advertising content related issues.
  • Communicating with internal Verizon organizations, and with external advertising partners.

You understand and like applying theories, concepts and technologies to solve complex network challenges. Fast-paced, dynamic network operations environment where every minute really matters are perfect for you. Teams view you as a dependable, and flexible person willing to support the rotational needs of a technical support environment. You gain satisfaction from quickly and efficiently addressing customer needs and can communicate complex problems in simple language during stressful situations.

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to cover various shifts in a 24x7x365 support environment.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with Terrestrial and OTA content acquisition.
  • Experience with optical networks and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with FTTP and/or Optical Line Terminal.
  • Experience with end-to-end video network (linear and non-linear).
  • Experience with both Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with content transcoding and encryption, enterprise NAS storage management and video-on-demand.
