What you’ll be doing...
As a Supply Chain Engineer, you’ll be the onsite support for the testing, repair, and refurbishment third-party logistics provider (3PL) driving results, strategic direction, and vendor management of the Verizon RAN Clean & Screen (CNS) and Repair operations at the Alburtis RDC. You’ll implement the reverse supply chain CNS operation decisions and maintain the requirements of a highly dynamic planning forecast to meet the supply needs of the business to maximize cost avoidance savings through the reuse of product. You’ll also be responsible for defining and executing to a set of supply chain operational metrics geared towards forecast attainment, turnaround time, cost reduction, bounce and out-of-box failure rates.
You will drive quality improvements and improve manufacturing design of products with learnings from failure mode analysis. You’ll follow TL9000 standards and ASQ quality processes and methodology, such as design of experiments, fishbone diagrams, and poka yoke. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Verizon network topology, RF signal transmission, preferred to assist with root cause analysis and 8D disciplines is key.
You’ll also drive supply chain-optimization-related projects involving cross-functional teams within the reverse logistics organization. You’ll demonstrate strong leadership, success in driving cross-functional process improvement, and enable tangible benefits to the business. Serving as a catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading day-to-day operations is also important to success. Other responsibilities associated with the position include:
- Providing onsite management of 3PL testing, repair and refurbishment partnership, ensuring both production and quality standards are maintained for RAN network equipment returns.
- Managing the integration of cross-functional, detailed CNS project plans and timelines.
- Supporting cross-functional teams on process development and continuous improvement.
- Identifying, escalating, and resolving issues that may impact critical process deliverables with sense of urgency.
- Project managing cross-product organizational initiatives and action registers for laser-focused objectives.
- Supporting the end-to-end repair process for in-warranty and out-of-warranty product.
- Supporting advanced exchange of product when and where applicable.
- Driving operations excellence through the monitoring, analysis, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) management.
- Seeking industry and area best practices to determine value and drive change management where appropriate to gain efficiencies.
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with all impacted Supply Chain teams.
- Reducing and driving out No Trouble Found (NTF) units from the reverse Supply Chain.
- Performing root cause analysis with OEM for top return drivers and top failure modes.
- Identifying further opportunities for new growth within Clean & Screen Operations and technologies.

You'll need to have...
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with warehouse operations.
- Willingness to travel.

- BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong vendor management experience and skills.
- Project Management experience, including experience with cross-functional and/or cross-Area projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Verizon RAN network products.
- Superior quantitative, problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
