What you’ll be doing...

This role will report to the Fleet PMO Manager and will own the business strategy behind Fleet products and services, specify functional requirements, and generally manage the launch of products, product features and services. The ideal candidate brings a multi-disciplinary background that blends technical and business acumen. You will use data and user feedback to ensure that the core value proposition is reflected in product output, guiding and shaping Fleet’s long-term product vision. This role calls for a balance of collaborative leadership across the team and beyond in addition to delivering individual contributions. Activities may consist of gathering business requirements, creating the product strategy roadmap and leading the team in order to deliver a finished product.

  • Develop and implement Fleet product strategy for end-to-end product lifecycle management.
  • Create and manage a product roadmap for Fleet’s systems and services (Vehicle Sharing, GPS, Maintenance and Repairs, Asset Management, etc.). Obtain stakeholder acceptance for same.
  • Develop deep understanding of Fleet processes and touchpoints to support the ideation and development of business cases for new products, specifying the strategy, functional requirements and product feature release planning.
  • Implement a product release planning and management process. Clearly articulate, document, communicate and work track plans based on product strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop a product implementation playbook that can be reused on similar future programs.
  • Provide proactive and engaged leadership on key product designs to help Fleet and its business partners identify revenue opportunities, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and/or improve customer experience
  • Ensure an end-user and client-focused approach to product design at all levels of the Fleet product experience.
  • Align with stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of how changes to Fleet’s suite of products and services impact their operations, collecting data and gather ideas for product improvements.
  • Work closely with the PMO, systems, business, and engineering teams to understand current and future state business needs/requirements and follow through with updates and changes to product development cycle.
  • Lead the agile product management process from problem definition and strategy to design implementation, and have communication plan to ensure transparency across teams, products and projects.
  • Measure success by defining criteria and metrics from inception of a product (ie vehicles) and tracking throughout its lifecycle.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure that a product forecast is developed and communicated to all stakeholders along the product lifecycle.
  • Execute on funnel management (in progress, not started, completed, etc.) and reporting.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work expereince.
  • Relevant product management work experience from concept to launch.
  • Experience with core concepts related to product design, including direct experience in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, A/B testing, wireframing, prototyping, developing user feedback loops, etc.
  • Project management experience.
  • Process engineering experience (PMP and/or Six Sigma).
  • Experience working cross-functionally to drive strategy, vision and execution.
  • Project management experience or experience in delivering technology in Agile methodologies

  • Technical skills and the ability to work well with key partner technical resources.
  • Business process development skills.
  • Fleet industry experience.
  • A user-centered approach to product development.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong wireless technology understanding.
