What you’ll be doing...

  • Digital AP Lead focused on M&A and BAU.
  • Collaborating on and executing digital strategy for AP within 1ERP and other concurrent projects while ensuring alignment with current ERP landscape.
  • Integrating current digital tools and processes and creating seamless integrations during and after each M&A.
  • Identify digitals tools and strategies necessary to ensure continued automation in AP.
  • Serve as a data expert for acquired companies and ensure understanding of impacts to AP from proposed changes.
  • Liaise between AP and IT to ensure alignment.
  • Assist with 1Sourcing initiative as AP’s digital finance expert to enhance Ariba to ERP functionality and automation.
  • Assist in the development of AP reporting out of Ariba as part of 1Sourcing initiative.
  • Partner with AP’s M&A business lead to ensure AP needs are met from both the business and technical perspective.
  • Coordinate and support digital focus in partnership with FTMO.
  • Lead project planning, systems analysis, development and ongoing support for automation procedures and end-user interfaces which are integrated with Accounts Payables ERP systems.
  • Support AP reporting requests by developing and/or maintaining automation procedures using various tools (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, BI tools, Data Visualization Software and Access).
  • Develop, test and implement AP Reporting automation initiatives.
  • Analyze requirements, code and test procedures that source very large data sets, manipulate required result sets and publish data sets to the appropriate interface.
  • Perform research and analysis necessary to support reporting requests and create a greater understanding of the underlying data.
  • Provide system development support to create process efficiencies throughout the organization.
  • Defining and fulfilling complex business requirements to support system enhancements in order to implement reliable and efficient automated solutions.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of multiple projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects - original concept through final implementation.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives to support systems enhancements and automation solutions which will contribute to efficiencies across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, system documentation and provide training to end users on system procedures, data structure and maintenance of automation procedures.
  • Interact with individual contributors, supervisors, and managers within the organization to report progress on current initiatives and plan goals for development and process improvement.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Significant experience with databases and dataset manipulation with an aptitude to quickly pick up new systems.
  • Significant experience creating and manipulating code.
  • Knowledge of Accounting, Finance Operations and Financial Planning and Analysis reporting needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related scientific field.
  • Demonstrated ability utilizing SAP tables as the Subject Matter Expert and creation of digital solutions out of SAP.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate at executive level.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner to achieve project deadlines.
  • Proven ability to interface with and influence multiple stakeholders across the business and Finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a limited amount of supervision in a challenging environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold Verizon policies and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable systems, preferably SAP and PeopleSoft.
  • Experience creating reporting dashboards.
  • Experience creating reports in Tableau, Qlik and/or other data visualization software.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g Talend, etc).
  • Experience with RPA software (Automation Anywhere, UIPath, etc).
  • Experience leading/managing projects.
