What you’ll be doing...
We are currently looking for a self-motivated, Professional Services candidate who is interested in the challenges of IT Security consulting with a particular focus on Project Management and process administration and implementation within a complex security infrastructure environment.
- Acting as a specialist consultant in the management of projects, including the functions of scope management, budget and cost management, quality control of deliverables, schedule, resource and communication management and competent risk and issue management.
- Handling several projects at once, multi-tasking and managing your own time as well as project resources, according to project and customer requirements.
- Developing detailed project schedules from high level, presales estimates.
- Leading engineering resources assigned to project to ensure project outcomes are met on schedule and in budget.
- Working with Managed Services teams and ensuring smooth transition and handover to operation support as part of implementation.
- Handling complex implementation and testing activities in accordance with client maintenance/change windows.
- Adhering to and enforcing Change Management procedures, driving creation and completion of successful changes.
What we’re looking for...
You have excellent Project Management ability, ideally coming from experience working within the Government sector and solid experience in process development, administration and workflow management.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Three or more years of project experience on network and security infrastructure projects, in a structured project environment, delivering high complexity network and security infrastructure solutions.
- Knowledge of the range of standards, guidelines, policies, and best practices affecting deployment of IT security technology.
- Experience developing and tracking project schedules (MS Project).
- Experience developing and writing quality management plans, acceptance test plans and implementation strategies.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
- Experience identifying and managing risks relating to project delivery including development of mitigation strategies.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Industry certification such as PMP, Prince2, Agile and/or ITIL.
- Written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to collect and analyze requirements in order to develop project Statements of Work (SOW) / Project Management Plans and schedules.
- Knowledge of networking / secure gateway infrastructure in relevant products (eg. Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, VMware).
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to develop professional relationships within internal/external stakeholders and partners (TPVs).
- Documentation skills, ability to guide technical resources to develop quality project deliverables.
- Problem solving skills including systematic troubleshooting approach when managing issues.
- Experience managing project teams (two to six team members).
- Ability to adapt communication to different audiences (technical/non-technical – operational/managerial).
