When you join Verizon

Verizon is a leading provider of technology, communications, information and entertainment products, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our ambition and united in our shared purpose to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing...

Verizon has been securing enterprise-level networks and infrastructure for decades. Our visibility across a large amount of the world’s traffic gives us an advantage in putting intelligence to work for you. Our portfolio includes Security Professional Services, Network and Gateway operations, Security Monitoring and Operations and Incident response. And for over a decade we’ve offered our knowledge through thought leadership like the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report.

We are currently seeking a Principal Cyber Defense Architect responsible for defining, designing and implementing Cyber Defence solutions in a customer environment, utilizing standard service offerings or facilitating the design of new services. You will provide solution advisory and scoping support during the pre-sales phase and lead the implementation of the solution, ensuring customer expectations are met within the realm of the contract.

Functionally leading a team of senior technical consultants, you will act as the main point of contact for Cyber Defence in Japan, providing a conduit between Verizon’s technical/delivery teams and client leadership. By promoting the Professional Services portfolio and actively supporting the presales process, you will support Verizon Sales and Pre-Sales to generate Professional Services revenue.

You’re up on the latest security technology and know just how it can help your customers. You thrive in an environment where you get to combine it all: people, process and technology. You know how to relate to senior leaders and orchestrate big deals.

  • Assist Sales and Presales in developing proposals and customer responses aligned with Professional Services offerings.
  • Take a lead role in the definition, scope, approach, planning and estimating of PS security services.
  • Support and actively participate in the business development of the practice by identifying additional business opportunities within the current client base.
  • Lead delivery projects: ensure provided solutions remain in scope, budget, and aligned to agree business requirements, appropriate delivery methodologies are followed, and effective governance is applied.
  • Provide support and guidance for other PS consultants.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and prepare appropriate technical solution designs at high and low levels.
  • Contribute to the on-going development of global security services that reflect industry best practice while remaining aligned to customer requirements and expectations.
