What you’ll be doing...

The Information Technology team is looking for an experienced Lead IT Administrator to join the BlueJeans by Verizon team! This position will focus on IT Systems Administration, Video Collaboration, and project management. You will be instrumental in the ongoing support of internal end-user applications critical to communication, productivity, and efficiency. It is crucial to have a good knowledge of either Mac or Windows operating systems as well as in-depth experience leading a team, managing application services, SSO, and Desktop Support.

  • Managing day to day IT operation’s needs, video product deployments, purchasing needs, equipment restocking and shipping.
  • Acting in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
  • Configuring and maintaining the IT cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services as well as maintaining the on-premises VMware infrastructure.
  • IT Project management related to internal corporate infrastructure, business needs, working with stake holders to make sure any current or future projects meet the BlueJeans/Verizon vision.
  • Reporting of bugs, issues, and feature requests to engineering and product development teams with engineering tracking tools.
  • Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. This would include servers, BlueJeans/Verizon Laptops, and BlueJeans specific room systems.
  • Will be the point of contact to business units for recommendations on improvements and upgrades.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability for BlueJeans specific systems.
  • Managing escalations and upgrades as required.
  • Finding ways to automate redundant tasks to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention.
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for BlueJeans and Verizon hardware/software issues for onsite and remote BlueJeans employees.
  • Coordinating with vendors, as required, for troubleshooting and scheduling maintenance.
  • Documenting procedures and policies.
  • Maintaining the current BlueJeans asset management system for servers, room systems, laptops, and software related items.
  • Providing feedback on product enhancements and user experience to BlueJeans/Verizon Leadership.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Fouror more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in systems administration and video collaboration environment.
  • Experience with Single Sign-On Identity Providers such as Okta, OneLogin, or Ping Identity and two-factor authentication such as Google authentication.

Even better if you have:

  • Written and verbal communication skills, communicating in person and via phone/email with peers, customers, and vendors.
  • The ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, queue, and other assignments, excellent in time management.
  • Capability to be a dedicated team player working on both shared and individual assignments.
  • Experience with cloud-based environments such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure.
  • Knowledgeable on SAAS (Software as a Service).
