What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s plan for economic, environmental and social advancement is to move the world forward for everyone by expanding digital access, protecting the climate and preparing people for jobs of the future. As part of this, Verizon has made a commitment to deploy the time and talent of V-Teamers around the globe to deliver 2.5M Volunteer Hours by 2025 in the areas of Digital Inclusion, Climate Protection and Human Prosperity.

The Senior Analyst will build and manage a portfolio of strategic partners that provide volunteer opportunities to our 130,000 employees around the world, equating to hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours per year. You will creatively match Verizon’s Employee Resource Groups and Business Units with relevant organizations and opportunities that meet employee needs while making a positive impact in the communities our partners serve.

You will also be responsible for providing strategic recommendations, building plans and successfully executing programs that address key social challenges.

You will work closely with the CSR Team’s 50+ nonprofit partners, Verizon's State Government Affairs team, HR, public policy, marketing, and other Verizon departments to implement relevant societal impact volunteer programs.

  • Creating scalable ways to unify employees and make an impact through volunteerism.
  • Identifying, cultivating and managing relationships with nonprofit partners to ensure volunteer programs are effectively executed from end to end.
  • Ensuring our portfolio of strategic partners are engaging employees in set target hours of volunteerism and modifying as necessary.
  • Effectively managing a budget, RFP process and ongoing programmatic spend.
  • Working closely with Verizon’s Business Risk Team and CSR Directors, providing recommendations to mitigate potential risk related to CSR’s portfolio of partners.
  • Managing partner relationships, analyzing programmatic impact, and modifying opportunities to ensure company and community needs are met.
  • Quickly activating crisis and disaster response volunteer opportunities including researching and managing a portfolio of partners focused on racial equity, civic engagement and COVID response.
  • Being able to swiftly pivot program operations to meet changing needs of the business.
  • Partnering with employees and leaders across the business to create skill-based initiatives that tap into the technical expertise of our employee base - such as matching high potential employees with tailored opportunities to build the capacity of nonprofit organizations.
  • Driving continuous improvement in program development, project tracking, and go to market processes, leading to increased efficiencies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in program management.

  • A degree.
  • Ability to work toward solutions independently, leveraging team, insights and experiences.
  • Proven track record of managing a large portfolio of work without getting easily overwhelmed.
  • Demonstrated success in managing detailed programs in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Experience interacting with different executive levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experience operating with autonomy.
