What you’ll be doing...

The Solutions Executive - Public Sector will be a member of an organization whose team applies their expertise to help our Public Sector clients digitally transform their operations and ensure that Verizon’s entire portfolio is applied to address their missions. You’ll use your deep knowledge of how Public Sector clients operate and the specific needs and challenges affecting Public Sector agencies in areas such as Public Safety, Transportation, Education, Connect Healthcare, Future of Work, and Constituent Services. By leveraging your subject matter expertise and Verizon’s products, services, and technology capabilities along with its partners, you’ll establish Verizon’s brand as the trusted advisor to the Public Sector.

  • Opportunity Ideation: Learn and understand the customer’s mission state of readiness; co-create digital evolution roadmap to help achieve the client mission outcomes.
  • Expandand Integrate Solutions: Provide technical expertise with proficiency in integration services across product towers and partners.
  • Be engaged with clients through delivery to ensure that the solution outcomes meet the objectives laid out in the initial opportunity creation.
  • Support Requests for Information, Proposal or Quotation (RFx): Provide resource structure and processes to include past performance documentation and requirements to create persuasive and applicable use cases.
  • Marketing and PR Support: Upon successful delivery, leverage thought leadership to create written White Papers and Use Cases building out the Intellectual Property of Verizon by demonstrating past performance and qualifications.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degreeor four or moreyears of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or moreyears of experience in technology advisory and delivery consulting.
  • Experience defining, analyzing, and interpreting the competitive landscape to help define and position Verizon offerings; and, concurrently, contribute to the product roadmap.
  • Public Sector experience in government procurement processes, RFx procedures, and contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) and broader Digital and Technology industry products and trends.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Knowledge of and ability to facilitate creative sources of funding, like grants and other financing mechanisms.
  • Established presence at industry events, with frequent speaking engagements and published articles and white papers.
  • Strong collaborative leadership, with an ability to engage with diverse cross functional teams (e.g., Solution Architects, Sales, BD, Capture) in qualifying opportunities and defining solutions to meet client challenges.
  • Strong client relationship building skills, with the ability to cultivate trust-based relationships at the senior executive level to become a trusted advisor.
  • Security Clearance.
  • Advanced degree, such as an MBA.
  • ITIL TOGAF certification.
  • Professional presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in data sciences, machine learning (ML), and/or artificial intelligence (AI).
