What you’ll be doing...

In this role you well be supporting all RF functions from need identification to activation and optimization within the Western Carolinas and Eastern half of Tennessee for the Carolinas/Tennessee submarket. You will be designing and optimizing macro and small cell solutions in partnership with the Engineering and 1F teams.

  • Issue search areas, conduct candidate assessments, and issue approvals.
  • Support cell design improvements, capacity upgrades, and macro/small cell modifications to meet KPI targets.
  • Partner with System Performance to meet required performance objectives such as accessibility, retain-ability, latency, and throughput.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert; assisting with training of new team members and vendors.
  • Maintain Regulatory compliance as outlined by the Southeast and HQ Regulatory teams.
  • Attend and provide supporting materials for Zoning and community outreach meetings.
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints.
  • Assume ownership for assigned market; driving issues to resolution and proactively monitoring performance and conducting monthly deep dives with System Performance.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • A valid driver's license.

Even better if you have:

  • Four or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization.
  • Knowledge of propagation modeling software. Advanced level experience in Atoll even better.
  • Model tuning experience.
  • Experience with office computer applications: Various RF tools such as Mapinfo, post processing software etc., MS office.
  • Knowledge of SQL scripting, VB Scripting, other professional software.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE and 5G Technology.
  • Experience in Design & Optimization of LTE/VoLTE networks.
  • Knowledge of Excel including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation. Presentation skill and Power Point.
  • Analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Seamless adjustment to a dynamic, changing business environment.
  • Organizational time management, prioritization and project planning skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence across functions.
