What you’ll be doing...

The Reverse Operations Team oversees all the Verizon Return Facilities, managing over 1600 employees and the return processes from customers, retail, and trade lines for over 18M devices and accessories annually.
As a Supply Chain Project Manager, you will act as a Product Manager and Business Architect to developers and vendors. You will align internal cross-functional business teams using your project management skills, ensuring premium quality communication across business teams.

  • Meetings: Lead discussions, encourage engagement, mediate strong opinions, promote efficient time management, empower team to accomplish goals.
  • Document: Meeting agendas and notes, key decisions, risk assessments, project charters, risk analysis charts, business case development, flow charts, milestone delivery.
  • Facilitate: Remove team impediments, connect SMEs to team tasks, ensure stakeholder alignment, and coordinate efforts across multiple business groups.
  • Design: Assist with the overall design of the operation and help standup the new operation as we work with the new supplier.

What we’re looking for...

You are a vibrant unsung hero, constantly on the lookout for project risks and problems, shielding the team from distractions, and you have an ability to fix problems before they occur. Projects in Reverse Operations can involve anything from robotic arms, machine learning, or computer vision to complex financial projections, value stream maps, and software development.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Operations management and/or agile project management work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Logistics related fields.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional, Six Sigma Lean (Green or Black Belts), Change Management, or other project management certifications.
  • MBA or experience that requires strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, SAP, or related areas.
  • Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or Change Management knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with Software Tools: Jira, Confluence, or similar (Rally, Version One, etc.)
  • Strong ability to easily craft a formal business case.
  • Strong servant leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent forward thinking, critical thinking, and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
