What you’ll be doing...

The VTC Operator will plan, design, and evaluate VTC networks and recommend solutions to support, maintain, and repair client’s audio-visual and video conferencing networks and systems. This includes maintaining, distributing, installing, configuring, repairing, and upgrading various electronic products while ensuring their optimal performance as well as doing adjustments and VC configuration changes. You will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and assist technicians where required.

  • Perform and lead less experienced technicians to identify and deliver required audio-visual service levels according to customer policies and user requirements.
  • Provide analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex AV and VC hardware problems and networks for the customer and recommend and implement corrective solutions.
  • Develop processes to effectively troubleshoot AV and VC issues onsite and over the phone.
  • Ensure stability of teleconferencing & video conferencing equipment, networks and other presentation equipment.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls, walkups, and/or e-mails regarding AV and VC software/hardware problems.
  • Document instances of AV equipment failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  • Troubleshoot AV issues using the appropriate testing tools.
  • Provide periodic audit of inventories to mitigate risk of damage or theft.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of overall related video teleconferencing experience. Additional training, relevant certification, and/or years of experience may be substituted in lieu of.
  • Currently possess an active Secret Clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • Three or more years of experience in the field.
  • One or more industry certifications.
  • Qualified to work with general direction
  • Experience with complex items or situations without supporting documentation.
  • Ability to write or update procedural or technical documentation for team members.
  • Experience communicating with vendors for support on technical issues
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Understand broad implications of a problem or issues.
  • Understand different types of equipment.
