What you’ll be doing...

As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring an effective IT environment for the employees and contingent workers, who work in the R&D center of Verizon Smart Communities in Budapest.
  • Cooperating with the central IT department of Verizon.
  • Writing specifications and documentation.
  • Management and automation of continuous deployment and continuous integration (CI/CD).
  • AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure management.
  • Performance assessment and monitoring.
  • Adopting, customizing and implementing best practice DevOps policies and DevOps procedures.
  • Supporting IT procurement.
  • Advising the development team on best practices throughout the design process of their applications, to ensure that they can be delivered to manageable and highly available production environments.
  • Architecture and implementation of the infrastructure for building, testing, deploying, tuning, and troubleshooting production and development systems.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Relevant work experience in DevOps/Infrastructure, Systems Administration, and/or Development.
  • Experience working with Cloud provider – AWS, Google, Azure
  • Fluency in English.

Even better if you have:

  • Experience working with any of modern infrastructure operations and automation tools: Cluster Configuration and Automating tools,continuous Integration and testing, Continuous Deployment:
  • Experience with solving security problems: Certificate management, Firewalls.
  • Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems and a willingness to learn.
  • DBA Skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactivity: going beyond what asked to do – based on a thorough understanding of the needs.
  • Professionalism and a “can-do” attitude to work.
