What you’ll be doing...

The Network Systems Field Operations organization is responsible for implementing tools, solutions and innovation to help a field force of approximately 20K technicians better serve our customers. As a development lead you will be responsible for the delivery of Network Systems strategic initiatives in the field force & dispatch domains, in an agile & cutting edge environment. You will collaborate with various internal teams on new technologies to make it easy for our customers to do business with us.

  • Lead projects, code, and work in a full stack capacity with technologies including micro services frameworks, UI frameworks, and cloud native deployments using DevSecOps tools.
  • Perform hands-on coding work on complex business solutions, develop new ideas and propose innovative solutions.
  • Implement automation of repeated manual processes to drive efficiency.
  • Perform proof-of-concepts for validating new technology or approaches.
  • Support deployments, issue tracking and debugging issues.
  • Monitor KPIs to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Perform agile software delivery process using JIRA (including breaking down work into modular tasks, updating/tracking task status/work log entries for sprint management). Source code management including branching strategy, code review. JENKINS (automated builds, automated unit test cases, sonar-cube analysis).

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in developing applications using Microservices.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Software development experience with Java using Weblogic, Tomcat or Springboot; utilize XML, JSON, Web Services/REST, Web applications, PL/SQL, packages, procedures and functions.
  • Experience with SQL and knowledge of Oracle RDBMS.
  • Front end development experience using one of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience with Emerging technologies - RPA, AI/ML.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Full stack development experience.
  • Experience using agile development methods.
  • Knowledge of AWS and experience in development of applications on AWS

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science or similar.
  • Development experience using cloud computing platforms (OCI/AWS).
  • Familiarity with REST API design and development
  • CI/CD pipeline development and deployment experience (Jenkins, Ansible)
  • Experience in Data streaming Platforms Kafka / Pulsar
  • DevOps container and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef)
  • AWS certifications.
