What you’ll be doing...

The Network Repair Bureau (NRB) team provides end-to-end troubleshooting of the wireless network. We are a customer-focused organization that works directly with Verizon Wireless customers to resolve their network troubles. In addition, the NRB supports internal and external business partners including everything from the launch of new products and services to maintenance window and break-fix activities. The NRB provides 24x7 support. This is a fast-paced, challenging operations environment focused on continuous improvement of the proactive customer experience.

As Senior Developer, you will be responsible for multiple automation projects that resolve complex issues, with the implementation of reliable & efficient solutions that may be enterprise-wide initiatives. You will need Python automation expertise plus an understanding of the latest technologies across the industry. Our end goal is to get a fast resolution for our customers.

  • Collaborate with partners and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Concentration providing innovative solutions to business needs.
  • Identify deficiencies and quickly develop a solution in a DevOps manner. Lead creative advanced coding scripts. Build frameworks, user interface design, and API integration. Utilize and participate in the full system development cycle that includes testing and production.
  • Architect, build and maintain our backend services and applications.
  • Improve NRB efficiency: Re-think methods of our traditional processes by reviewing best practices and looking to standardize them via automation.
  • Leverage data analytics related to our customer issues that come to the NRB. This requires reviewing multiple angles of network issues causing customer pains and coming up with the best solutions via automation.
  • Be responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of our bots. Drive new functionality of the automated processes as the business evolves. You will be working closely with partner organizations to accomplish these.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, partners, and leadership, reporting project status, and providing accurate and concise documentation.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Development experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, PHP, Shell, Ruby, Perl)
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Computer Science.
  • Expert level automation knowledge of complex scripting solutions, automation system architecture, system monitoring, and/or troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with API data aggregation.
  • Experience with Linux systems in an enterprise production environment.
  • Openstack Certified.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, load balancing, firewalls, HTTP, SSL, DNS, DHCP.
  • Experience with Java script.
  • Experience working with Edge AI and VMB.
  • Experience with Web development
  • Experience with Gitlab.
  • Experience with VM structure.
  • Experience with Data analytics.
