What you’ll be doing...

As a Network Operations Engineer, you will bring a diverse skill set in Network technologies and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting. You will be a member of a geographically diverse team of Network Operations Engineers.

  • Working the Network Operations ticket queue and handling inbound calls to the NOC.
  • Working outage bridges as needed.
  • Working with vendors to address hardware and software issues on supported equipment.
  • Document troubleshooting and resolutions procedures

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in applicable network experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands- on experience with a focus on Cisco technology and supporting Wide Area Network Circuits.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • BS degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
  • Current CCNA or CCNP, CISSP, AWS certifications.
  • Three or more years of experience in a hands-on network role with a focus on Cisco technology.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco technology, including 1111, 2800, 3800, 6800, 7000-series. Experience with Cisco Nexus platform).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VLAN’s, STP, and other networking protocols.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple open issues, working over the phone, messenger applications etc.
  • Ability to work outage calls as needed.
  • Understanding of telecommunications industry and evolving technologies.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as they emerge on the market.
  • Experience with circuit troubleshooting, supporting WiFI and VPN technologies, and load balancer technologies.
