What you’ll be doing...

Verizon's Digital Marketing Center of Excellence is hiring a Search Engine Marketing Strategist to execute paid search marketing from planning, investment and partner management perspectives. You will support the recently in-housed paid search function at Verizon, partnering closely with other media leaders within the Digital CoE. You will bring strong drive and curiosity to build a world-class performance marketing organization, with a focus on the ever-evolving search marketing landscape.

  • Building and managing SEM functions for multiple units within Verizon Consumer Group.
  • Making recommendations and driving decision making with respect to any changes to the existing tech stack.
  • Managing relationships with all external search partners.
  • Executing, optimizing and reporting on SEM and Shopping campaigns.
  • Collaborating across teams and channels to develop holistic strategies and tactics.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of paid search experience, including at least one year of extensive experience with Shopping campaigns (PLA, LIA).
  • Knowledge of product feeds and Google Merchant Center.
  • Marketer/agency/consultative services experience in SEM.
  • Experience with search analysis and reporting, and managing the execution of search campaigns.
  • Experience with primary buying platforms and formats (Google Ads, Search Ads 360, Bing Ads).
  • Experience analyzing data, monitoring campaigns for optimizations, and ensuring campaign goals are fully met.
  • Experience maintaining invoice reconciliation and a dedication to maintaining accurate financial records.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of advertising channels across TV, audio, OOH, Display (desktop, mobile), Digital Video, Social Media, various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, and CPA), etc.
  • Experience leveraging data as a guide for strategy and decision making.
  • Fluency in data-driven targeting and reach strategy.
  • Data visualization experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
