What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s Supply Chain Services is transforming the Global Strategic Sourcing Group and seeks a dynamic professional who is interested in joining our team. This position will play a lead role in supporting Verizon's Device Marketing and Promotions businesses by serving and enabling the teams to achieve the strategic and financial objectives of the business and the Strategic Sourcing group.
Reporting to the Director, a key aspect of the role is providing governance and operational leadership and support to Device Marketing and Promotions sourcing categories and business partners, requiring superior communication capability with all levels of management.

  • Lead the design, build and delivery of streamlined operational processes and procedures, across Device Marketing and Promotions categories, in accordance with Strategic Sourcing best practice.
  • Design, compile and communicate Device Marketing and Promotions operational reports and build thorough and complete backup materials for presentations.
  • Build excellent working relationships with Device Marketing, Promotions, Sourcing and Business Operations teams to ensure cross functional teams are in consensus with operational activities, programs and initiatives.
  • Working with the Director, lead the design and management of programs, including establishing governance to deliver program outcomes, integrating programs and initiatives into operational processes and activities.
  • Support key initiatives and programs through impact and value assessment, measure outcomes and benefits and develop and deliver effective communication including program read outs.
  • Provide proactive and engaged leadership and vision to Director.
  • Drive opportunities to use tools and technologies to achieve process excellence and reporting efficiencies.
  • Act as Strategic Sourcing point of contact for audits involving the Device Marketing and Promotions categories, and liaise cross functionally as required.
  • Proactively test and monitor procedures and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Participate in other compliance efforts related to the organization.
  • Lead Operations Analyst and Process Excellence & Growth Manager in delivery of objectives to the highest possible standard.
  • Drive employee engagement through informing, engaging and energizing team to deliver business priorities, maintain the highest level of governance and compliance whilst operating with a transformation mindset.
  • Foster a learning and development culture.
  • Provide coaching on change management and process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Facilitate team meetings and cross-functional workshops, as needed.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering or any other technical discipline or relevant work experience.
  • Relevant experience, in sourcing, OEM, telecoms or financial firm.
  • Experience in people leadership.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • MBA, advanced university degree, and/or experience of working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.
  • Experience or certification in Agile, Design Thinking, Empathy interview techniques.
  • Experience in a fast paced dynamic international environment.
  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
  • Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and use MS Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses.
  • Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.
  • Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees.
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward.
  • Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately.
