What you’ll be doing...

As a member of the VBM Data Science team, you will work with consumer base marketing analytics by providing data driven recommendations of how we improve the customer/Verizon relationship to strengthen loyalty, lower churn, and grow revenue. You will use analytics to drive understanding and action throughout the VBM team. Insights will come through BI tools (SQL, excel, Tableau) and result in presentations to stakeholders with clear action plans to strengthen performance.

  • Business analytics on how we implement tools, techniques, or processes to optimize KPI performance. Including/not limited to: Mobile CIF, Home FRM, Customer persuadable modeling, and dynamic offer creation. Leveraging AI/ML and RTD implementation.
  • Present methodology, reasoning, and approach to leadership team. Gain understanding, alignment, and approval to implement.
  • Design implementation strategy, partner with peers to complete.
  • Project manage and negotiate changes to balance speed to market with accuracy. Ensure ability to hypothesis test strategy.
  • Post-mortem hypothesis test evaluation to prove incremental value.
  • Determine value add to the business, and re-socialize among peers and leadership stakeholders. Determine go-forward optimizations based on learnings.

What we’re looking for...

You have a passion for leveraging data to drive real-world business impacts. You have a knack for telling complex data stories simply so that your audience understands and acts on the insights. You enjoy working in unexplored areas of the business where our understanding is limited and prior best practices are un-established.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in analytics, strategic marketing, planning, and financial analysis.
  • Experience in research, analytical, and critical thinking.
  • Experience with data mining and visualization skills.
  • Experience creating compelling narratives to influence decision makers.
  • Experience and high proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite.
  • Experience building detailed and compelling financial business cases.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in a technical field (e.g. engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics) or four years equivalent work experience.
  • Business consulting experience.
  • Value Based Marketing / CRM experience.
  • Presentation experience with executive leadership.
  • SQL and database management experience.
  • Code automation platform experience (BTEQ, R, SAS).
  • AI / ML data science experience.
  • Operations Research mathematics experience.
  • Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server experience.
