We are looking for an experienced full stack Senior Software Engineer with strong technical andcommunication skills who will take ownership and mentor junior/intermediate engineers by example.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

• The expertise to develop technology solutions to meet business needs, while modernizing and transforming current products and applications.
• Strong Lean/Agile experience and the ability to put that knowledge into practice.
• Skilled at taking a high level requirement and breaking it into smaller, more manageable pieces.

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and coach other developers associated with projects, including front-end developers, API services developers, and quality engineers.
• Contribute towards the creation of intuitive, robust, and reusable user interfaces using modern frameworks.
• Design, develop, and test services/API and Xamarin mobile client to ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
• Ensure adequate documentation is prepared.
• Follow and implement industry best-practices in application development and reuse, while applying Lean/Agile methodologies.
• Work with the operations team to promote code to production and ensure excellent performance and reliability.
• Implement the ongoing maintenance of the applications, as 2nd tier, in a support role.
• Oversee, lead, and coach junior/intermediate developers on software engineering practices, code quality, and object oriented design.
• Continuously improve the services/API and mobile client code, finding ways to simplify and refactor.
• Identify flaws and weaknesses in existing code and suggest or create ways for improvement.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technical diploma in relevant field.
• 5+ years’ experience with JES6 (JavaScript) or TypeScript on Node.js, REST API, Python, and C++.
• 2+ (recent) years designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mobile applications using Xamarin/C# for iOS/Android or similar mobile framework.
• Experience implementing automated testing using EndUnit test suite or similar mobile client framework.
• Previous experience working in an Agile development team.
• Experience with continuous integration tools set and hands on experience with testing frameworks.
• Extensive working knowledge of the Linux command line (bonus if it’s with Fedora/CentOS/RedHat).

Even better if you have:

• Knowledge of Amazon AWS EC2, ELB, and S3.
• Experience using and possibly designing relational databases (bonus for MySQL knowledge).
• A deep understanding of SOLID principles and how to effectively apply them.
