What you’ll be doing...

As a Senior Engineer in the Hum team, you will drive the automation framework architecture. You will play an integral role in designing, implementing, and enhancing the current and future automation tools we use. This role will collaborate with other Automation Engineers to build and modify frameworks that can be leveraged to reduce manual overhead, improve processes, and automate where possible.

  • Designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable cloud based applications and REST based web services.
  • Utilize open source tools or develop custom scripts for automating tests to validate software products involving both Mobile Applications, back-end processing systems and Web-based GUIs.
  • Write automation code using Python/Java as well as custom Linux shell scripts.
  • Support the scoping and implementation of technical solutions: estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and resiliency tests for multiple applications/subsystems.
  • Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs and track quality assurance metrics.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of Software Development or Automation Tools development experience.
  • Experience with developing applications using web standards such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, and HTTP.
  • Experience creating an automation framework and automated test cases for UI, API, and back-end data processing applications.
  • Scripting experience with programming languages such as Python, Java.
  • Docker, Appium, Selenium, Jenkins, Jira, Test Case Management Tools and AWS experience.
  • Experience in lean software development methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Knowledge of kanban.
  • AWS Certification.
  • CI/CD experience.
