What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for an experienced, inventive, passionate, hands-on Engineering manager to lead and contribute to our web services team in Bangalore. You will lead a group of engineers and will help build high performance, scalable, resilient web services that are leveraged by teams throughout BlueJeans as well as the developer community. As a manager you will be responsible for building a great team, mentoring them and driving the product roadmap and direction.

You will work closely with product management to drive roadmap, your peers across the company to ensure integration, operations and program management to drive roll out and customer support to support deployment.

• Designing and building large scalable web services.
• Understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) as well as API cache design and caching technologies.
• Building RESTful APIs and have good knowledge of RESTful design patterns.
• Working on cloud technologies and with cloud providers such as AWS
• Communicating and working well within a geographically distributed team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree with eightor more years of experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
• Product development experience.
• Experience managing a high performing product development team.
• Experience building scalable we services with RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of at-least one database technology.
• Experience building services on cloud infrastructure and working with managed services.

Even better if you have:

• Experience in real-time communication products.
• Experience in scaling large high transaction volume web services.
• Contributions to open source projects.
