What you’ll be doing...

“VCIT TechOps” team will be provide Production support to Verizon Wireless and Wireline applications, which includes Operations, Monitoring, Deployment, automation and public cloud migration for VCIT applications.

You will be part of TechOps team and providing functional, technical support to the Production support team, including Monitoring, Troubleshooting, building instances of Windows and Linux applications using industry standard processes and tools, drive DevOps transformation within the VCIT Portfolio.

  • Provide 24 x 7 supports and respond to issues with urgency, these duties include opening of investigation and outage bridges, troubleshooting, management of traffic across multiple applications and locations, managing daily checkpoint calls, and tracking of open items on a daily basis.
  • Maintain Systems availability and Meet pre-defined SLAs for Mission and Business critical systems.
  • Responsible to create and maintain environment on public cloud.
  • Automation of tools/scripts and write playbooks, responsible for MW installation automation and troubleshooting.
  • Involve in driving organization-wide cloud initiatives and their implementation to ensure smooth and stability of environment.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of experience in AWS Public Cloud.
  • Experience in Managing EKS large scale environment
  • Experience with Python, Powershell, and Tools development for Operations.
  • Experience with SRE practices.
  • Experience in writing Cloud formation templates, AWS CLI and various other AWS services.
  • Experience in New Tech tools Orchestra tools, like Jenkins, Ansible.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree.
  • Automation skills.
