What you’ll be doing...

The Federal Program Manager position will report into the Government Program Management Office in support of a significant Federal client. The scope of the position will manage a cross functional team with overall Program Management responsibility for all Lines of Effort (LOE) in support of the client's Program. Own responsibility for all Verizon Programs supporting the account and serve as a customer contact.

  • Collaborate with military and civilian administrative and technical staff.
  • Plan and distribute work assignments.
  • Set objectives and manage the performance to meet the objectives.
  • Drive customer solutions.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Interface directly with Verizon senior leaders to properly address complex customer requests.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategic plans to mitigate the risk.
  • Monitor support response in regards to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and conduct periodic performance review meetings.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Telecom and/or IT Implementation experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance or active security clearance
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better, if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Telecom and/or IT Implementation experience.
  • Relevant program management experience.
  • Ability to lead and motivate without direct authority.
  • Experience following Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN), networking/wireless networking, service desk support.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, etc.
