What you’ll be doing...

This position will have several focuses, all of which will require highly-refined collaborative skills. The successful candidate will be expected to evolve the current product roadmap, identify and develop new growth opportunities, and manage the Product Council. This position will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of Verizon by supporting the development of the team's current product road map, assisting in evaluating current product investments, and supporting the business case development of new products. This position will collaborate with the Tech and Product Development, Network Planning, and Commercial Products teams to assess commercial opportunities for new technologies and identify and develop, from concept through approval, new growth opportunities. Critical to success in the role will be the embracing of a holistic approach to cross-company innovation, creating governance through the Product Council, and building out and ensuring a consistent product development process across the company. The successful candidate must be skilled in conducting end to end productportfolio management,leading ecosystem strategy for new markets, and managing through highly complex, matrixed environments.The successful candidate must also be able toinfluence without authority across multiple executive stakeholders. Product development knowledge and the demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and complexity in a highly matrixed ecosystem are required.

What we’re looking for...

  • 6-8 years of operational end-to-end product management experience, from early stage through to v2 (i.e. product development and product portfolio)
  • 2-4 years’ experience of successful implementation of v1 concept development to market
  • 8+ years’ related product experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s and Technical BA preferred
  • Highly developed collaborative skills deployed across all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships and establish strong and effective partnerships across business lines (Network Planning, TPD, Product and NBI)
  • Ability to navigate and influence in a heavily matrixed environment bringing people along, while bridging differences
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and expert at bringing teams to successful outcomes
  • Knowledge of emerging technology trends and ability to anticipate how a market and accompanying value chain will evolve and how to best capture new revenue streams
  • Demonstrated experience with driving new market ecosystem development
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile product development
  • Ability to lead through competing priorities
  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to execute on details
  • Superior executive communication skills (written, verbal and C-suite presentation)
