What you’ll be doing...

As a foundational member of Verizon’s in-house digital marketing center of excellence, you will be responsible for programmatic inventory setup and optimization across all inventory types to achieve brand and business objectives. You will oversee inventory delivery and supply side technology partnerships with a focus on performance. With your expert knowledge of the supply and tech landscape and the evolution of programmatic buying, you will keep internal leadership, media and ad teams educated on emerging opportunities. Additionally, you will support Yahoo's product team on their roadmap to drive differentiation for our owned technology in a highly competitive landscape.

  • Developing and executing bold, innovative inventory strategies in conjunction with Verizon’s programmatic COE team.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for inventory setup and optimizations including best practices.
  • Partnering with Yahoo on driving the product roadmap and expanding their programmatic inventory capabilities into the broader marketplace.
  • Partnering closely with other media leaders (Consumer, Brand, Business, Search, Social, Analytics) to develop custom inventory executions that focus on quality.
  • Supporting efforts across partner units within Verizon (Operations, Experience, Technology, CRM) to create improved digital experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Keeping internal teams educated on the evolution of programmatic inventory, what’s leading in the marketplace and what tech can be utilized.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketer/agency/consultative services experience in programmatic media strategy & investment.
  • Experience managing all self-serve programmatic channels (display, video, social, dOOH, audio, native).
  • “Hands-on-keyboard” experience with primary buying platforms & formats (Google, Amazon AAP, VMG, Trade Desk).

Even better if you have:

  • Experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders, and influencing across divisions, departments, and teams.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of advertising channels across TV, audio, OOH, Display (desktop, mobile), Digital Video, Social Media, various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA), etc.
  • Programmatic buying experience within SSPs, Agency Trade Desks, Management Consultancies or brands with in-house programmatic capabilities.
  • Experience with ad verification and brand safety tools (IAS, DoubleVerify, Moat).
  • Experience maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Experience analyzing data, optimizing and ensuring campaign goals are being fully met.
  • Knowledge of the evolution of programmatic media; how video, social, display, native, branded content became purchasable programmatically.
  • Experience building and executing programmatic buying strategy.
  • Skilled at applying data to get the most out of programmatic buys.
