What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, highly motivated, Sr.Technical Product Owner/Product Solutions Architect to work in the product engineering team for developing security solutions in Technology and Product development organization. You will be responsible for technology development, end to end Solution design, architecture and Solution Delivery management for Platform and Advanced Security Solutions like Cyber Risk Portfolio that support the growing needs of Security professional services business as well as supporting Security platform inititaives. You should be able to work in an agile environment across stakeholder organizations (including Product Management, Security Operations, Network design teams, back office systems, Software Development, Customers, Sales and partner’s). The role requires cross-functional communication and decision making in order to drive business objectives and direct contribution to revenue growth. The role includes development of new cybersecurity products and solutions for enterprise and SMB markets with objective of integrating Cybersecurity platform capabilities with Verizon’s wireline and wireless product portfolio as well as managed services portfolio including products like Private Networks, IOT, and MEC.

Verizon’s Enterprise Cybersecurity platform produces over four hundred million dollars annually in topline revenue for the VBG organization. This portfolio includes Network Security, SASE, Software Defined Perimeter, Network Detection and Response, Cyber Risk, Identity and Managed Security Services platform/services, as well as a security platform and any other new/additional platform or product initiatives for the VBG Cybersecurity product domain – spanning the 5 NIST cybersecurity pillars of Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover.

  • Partners with stakeholders organizations to define and align on product roadmaps, priority and delivery.
  • Works with the product and delivery teams to collaboratively drive new solutions, proof of concepts and help drive the architectural direction of the solution.
  • Supports the growing needs of Security professional services business.
  • Develops and owns Solution Design and Delivery Team’s backlog, ensures user stories are written and acceptance criteria are met, and you’ll demo the working features internally and externally.
  • Gathers requirements, designing and developing user experience workflows.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and development teams (internal and external) to ensure successful implementation of new or enhanced functionality for the product.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical knowledge of complex systems and architecture concepts and ensures project teams are effectively employing appropriate software design techniques.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or ten or more years of work experience in security or network products.
  • Experience with SDLC and development experience to drive POC’s and technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding to provide systems perspective and knowledge of compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud based services like SASE, Zero Trust, Security Gateways, Managed Security and high bandwidth network services.
  • Strong experience developing accessible user portals for demanding customers.
  • Strong Product Development background with key focus on Enterprise use cases around Security and Networking.
  • Experience leading and collaborating across a set of cross functional delivery initiatives.
  • Experience working with the business and customers on gathering requirements, documenting requirements, managing product backlog, writing user stories, and working with development and vendors to deliver on the product plan and vision.
  • Experience working closely with development teams and delivering new functionality.
  • Strong technical background to provide systems perspective and expertise for Security, WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, IoT products, services & E2E managed security and network solutions.
  • Communication skills & lead discussions with product Management and customers to identify new market opportunities and use cases.
  • Ability to own issues/risk decisions and manage on an ongoing basis.
