What you’ll be doing...

The Sales and Use Tax Senior Analyst is part of the Indirect Tax (Sales and Use) Team. This position is responsible for working with outside outsource vendor, to ensure all transaction taxes, e.g. sales & use taxes, are filed timely and accurately.


  • Responsible for the accurate and timely filing of transaction tax returns.
  • Implement process improvements through the use of innovative & creative thinking.
  • Work with automation tools (e.g. “Alteryx”) to reduce redundant tasks by using innovative techniques such as Robotics & designing process flows.
  • Analyze financial data from Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Revenue Accounting and Corporate Accounting.
  • Review transaction tax data to ensure it is accurate and analyze variances prior to sending data to 3rd party outsourcer for filing.
  • Reconcile tax liability accounts.
  • Review, Analyze, andStreamline Tax Processes.
  • Perform special projects, as required, assigned by Manager.
  • Assist the exemption group with research, information needed and issuance of Resale and/or Exemption Certificates, as required.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in State taxes, such as Sales and Use and other pass-through type taxes.
  • Experience with the tax compliance process.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or four or more years of work experience.
  • CPA or Master’s degree in taxation.
  • Experience with large automated systems (e.g. billing, general ledger, and a/p).
  • Knowledge with automated tax systems (e.g. Vertex).
  • Experienced with SAP, PeopleSoft or other major accounting systems.
  • Ability to develop methods to streamline processes and develop tax planning strategies to minimize company's cash flow and overall tax burden.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
