What you’ll be doing...

You will play the role of Engr II Software Development. The work you'll be doing is to support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon Wirelss Group.

  • Identifying and aligning project requirements and conducting impact analyses.
  • Communicating and present the impact of changes/change requests to the management/stakeholders.
  • Providing estimation for implementing the user stories.
  • Translating and simplifying requirements to LLD, driving program/release requirement understanding and supporting technical implementations.
  • Working closely with the business team, 3rd party vendors, and other internal IT teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Performing hands-on coding work on projects to introduce new modular, reusable components, Service/API or enhancing the existing ones.
  • Performing tasks associated with the analysis, design, and development of computer Software and supporting the testing and fixing the defects within the defined SLA.
  • Improving systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
  • Collecting pre and post production metrics and present to the management.
  • Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • Hands on experience of one or more years in Java, Spring Boot / Spring Reactive and Web technologies.
  • Knowledge in React JS.
  • Knowledge in AWS Concepts.
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Development.
  • Experience in code review, quality, performance tuning.
  • Experience with a high-performance, high-availability environment.
  • Experience with OWASP rules and mitigate security vulnerabilities using security tools like Fortify, Sonarcube, Blackduck etc.
  • Experience with Unit testing framework like JUnit, Mokito.
