What you’ll be doing...

You will be working in some of the cutting edge technologies and emerging tech, and driving the network engineering platform to the next level in its journey to the North Star architecture. This would include aspects of directional tech stack enablement, SOE, SRE, stability, security, and availability. You will champion and drive initiatives partnering with cross functional teams and leadership to define, prioritize, execute and track the KPIs and KRIs. You will be driving innovation as a culture with the teams through various methods. You will be working with architecture teams, vendors to drive the programs to success and enable better user experience for our Verizon network customers.

  • Own the program delivery working closely with the onshore manager and the teams (India and US). Hands on technically, guides the team on architecture, design and on the job challenges.
  • Drive efforts to strategize, plan and implement the short term and long term goals of building a robust, repeat-at-scale, efficient model for the engineering platform that will encompass standard North Star architecture across domains/systems.
  • Enable automation and proactive monitoring to detect issues and communicate to business proactively.
  • Be a strong proponent of the ideas and thought leadership to represent the team and project on management and exec meetings, collect metrics (ROI, KPIs, etc.) and business processes involved behind the programs and articulate it well to mgmt.
  • Maintain high levels of engagement with onshore SMEs, management, business, local management on the projects and programs.
  • Define ways around creating a high performing teams in tour space and manage performance management with every member of the team, review progress regularly and provide feedback monthly
  • Create scalable practices that would help maintain a very high level of engagement with the team members on a regular basis and ensure that there is a constant connect.
  • Enable best in class developer ecosystem with needed access, data, stakeholder partnerships, work-life balance and employee long term career paths.
  • Nurture development of talent into strategic roles both on technology and strategic management.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and drive as an example.
  • Encourage the team to participate in experimentation, hackathons, coding events and other org wide events and efforts.
  • Manage vendors on the ARTs or Non ART programs/domain teams.
  • Manage and track the budgets and financials.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience in software dev and managerial role.
  • Four or more years of experience managing large scale core development projects from scratch, and handled requirements, design and the deliveries.
  • Experience in Agile (SAFe/Scrum) delivery management.
  • Experience on the following technologies – ReactJS, Sprintboot/NodeJS, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, databases (PostGres/MySQL/Oracle), AWS, K8S, SOE/SRE tools.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong people leader and a mentor, and maintains a very high level of engagement with the team members.
  • Experience & knowledge in AI/ML, Big Data tech, NLP, Chatbots, AR/VR.
